In partnership with Providence Community Housing, Trapolin-Peer Architects designed the conversion of Our Lady of Lourdes school and auditorium into 62 studio and one-bedroom affordable rental apartments for seniors, addressing a critical need for affordable housing. Trapolin-Peer provided State Historic Tax Credits services, which required a majority of exterior and interior building elements to be retained or preserved per its original design.

Situated along the bustling Freret Street Corridor, residents would have access to quality-of-life comforts such as transportation, groceries, and healthcare. On site amenities included shared space in the converted historic gym, a business center complete with computers and printer, and Wi-Fi. Apartments included in-unit washers and dryers. Off-street parking was made available in the secure gated campus featuring access-controlled entry.  Our Lady of Lourdes will be Enterprise Green Communities 2020 certified.

This property has since been sold to another developer and will be transformed for another use.
