Opportunity

The client requested a simple, traditional, and well-proportioned house with few ornamental details that responds to its context within the fabric of the Garden District. 

Strategy

The main face of the house is toward Third Street while nodding to Prytania with a prominent grand stair hall that illuminates at night.

The first floor plan was designed with an emphasis on circulation and crowd flow when entertaining. Symmetry and axes were used to layout entrances and main circulation.
