Saint Augustine High School celebrated a major milestone with the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly renovated Rigaud Health & Wellness Center, designed by TPA. With an emphasis on supporting the physical, mental, and emotional health of students, the new gym and wellness center aligns with Saint Augustine’s commitment to developing well-rounded, healthy young men prepared to excel in all aspects of life.

TPA approached this project with the goal to create a space that not only meets the athletic program's needs but also reflects St. Augustine's unique culture, history, and values. Working closely with school administrators and stakeholders, the architects designed a facility that balances innovative features with respect for the school’s traditions.

Damaged by a fire in 2021, the renovated and modernized Mid-Century facility now provides students with access to state-of-the-art fitness and training equipment, multi-use courts, and dedicated wellness spaces. Coaches and staff have dedicated offices and training spaces with ample access to natural light. The refreshed guest experience, circulation paths, and wayfinding are intuitive, and the school's history of athletic and academic excellence are proudly on display.

The result is a versatile, accessible, and welcoming environment that underscores design's ability to help our schools stay competitive.

Congratulations to the Purple Knights and TPA team members, Raymond Armant and Cornisha Lyons (pictured here), who were recognized by St. Augustine for their talent and commitment to creating a collegiate-level facility!
